I don’t know about you, but I love to page through fashion magazines while my little guy naps. I adore and admire the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into each and every runway piece. But, while they may look bold and beautiful, a lot of items aren’t able to make an appearance in my own closet, mainly because they aren’t functional for my lifestyle. However, some of the trends are totally wearable..it’s all about finding them and wearing them in the right venue-like a date night out with your partner. Let me take the guess work out for you-read on to learn about my winter fashion trend suggestions so you can look and play the part for a fab and fun night out with your loved one!
Turtle Necks Under Dresses
Hello! This is something I could pull off because I own dozens of them. The key is to look chic and not homely while enjoying a fancy dinner out. Go for a basic black and white combo! Simply take a white turtle neck (preferably ribbed) and wear it under your favorite little black sleeveless dress. Not too sure how it will look? Check out designer Tory Burch’s winter line. You can wear a pair of over the knee leather boots with a pair of black textured tights and a gorgeous pair of statement earrings. You’ll not only look awesome for your dinner date, but will be comfortable throughout the evening!
This kind of patchwork denim not only looks bold and interesting, but is also fun and flattering to wear. Consider showing off the intricate design work that goes into these pants by tucking in a sleeveless silky top or a crisp white blouse with a colorful printed cardigan. It helps promote a cool and casual vibe and is ideal to wear out to the movies or for a concert.
Bohem dresses are a nod to the infamous maxi dress, but are far more interesting. Composed in soft, silky fabrics that have loud and large prints; Bohemian dresses are also loose fitting, flowing, and have oversized sleeves. They are great to wear out to a wine bar, a speakeasy, or to a play.
Getting away for a night out is essential for all couples. But, looking amazing and in trend is just an added bonus. Consider testing out one (or all) of these three, wearable, winter trends!
