Va-Va-Voom! Vamp things up for Valentine’s Day - Heather

Posted by Wendy Wright on

A baby can cause some serious crinkles in time spent with your partner. And, if multiple children are thrown into the mix, Valentine’s Day may often be a forgotten holiday. But, not this year! This year, make it a point to make your hunny a priority and book a baby sitter. On your special night out, you can really vamp things up for your Valentine. Here’s how!

Tip 1-Boast Some New Lingerie

Just because you’re nursing doesn’t mean you can’t give your special bras a break for a bit. Check out This trendy new line of maternity lingerie leaves plenty of space for a nursing pad (to prevent leaks), and offers plenty of support (and sex appeal). It can be worn during your pregnancy and well afterward!

Tip 2-Show Some Skin

I think little snippets of skin are super sexy. And, lucky for you; one of the hottest trends right now is cut out designs on tops and blouses. Wear a silky little number and play peek-a-boo with your shoulder, back, or arms! Your partner will enjoy their view from across the table.

Tip 3-Don’t Shy Away from Red

It may seem cliché to wear red on Valentine’s Day, but the truth is; there’s nothing more appropriate to symbolize the special day. Cherry red tones look great on all skin tones-be sure to add a layer of creamy red lip stick to offset your ensemble.

Tip 4-Carry a Clutch

Don’t let a big bulky bag get in the way (after all, aren’t you sick of carrying your diaper bag around?). Carry a cute, jeweled hard case clutch; or, a saucy little leather bag that is studded and sits perfectly in your palm. You’ll officially feel like you’re on a date again!

Tip 5-Bust Out Your Heels

As a busy, present, hands on mom; you probably aren’t walking around wearing heels around your house. So, wear your oldies but goodies with your Valentine ensemble, or pick up a new pair. While wedge styles are super popular, stiletto heels are always in style. Plus, they provide you with ample lift, which works wonders for your legs and backside-especially if you’re wearing fitted trousers or boot cut jeans!

Get psyched up and vamped up for your Valentine’s date. Consider these five tips to ensure a special night out and that you look the best for your valentine!
