Fashion Friday: 5 Things That You’ll Always Find In My Bag (As a Mom) Like It or Not!

Fashion Friday: 5 Things That You’ll Always Find In My Bag (As a Mom) Like It or Not!

by Heather Aulisio

Before I was a mom, my bag mainly consisted of the essentials-cell phone, hair tie, wallet, lipstick, maybe a scented lotion or two. But, once my little bundle of joy arrived, many things changed in my life-what I now carry in my purse is one of them! Read on to learn the five things you’ll always find in my bag, and why you should consider carrying them too!

1.  Baby Wipes

I can’t name a more remarkable product! I never leave home without baby wipes. Not only can they be used for the obvious, but they make an amazing hand sanitizer, lipstick blotter, hair smoother, spill wiper-the options are endless. And, they sell them in thin packs, so you don’t have to tote around a hunk of them.

2.  Snacks

Snack, snacks, and more snacks! I never used to be a person that snacked in between meals, but after having a toddler (who always seems to be starving), I started snacking with him. And, I started carrying some around in my purse for both of us to enjoy! From nuts (for me), to fruit snacks (for him), we are always happy and full!

3.  Ice Pack

Ok, so you may think this is totally strange, but I am obsessed with the ice packs that don’t get cold until you “break” one open. Now that my son is almost two and running full speed everywhere, he tends to trip a lot, eliciting a visit from an ice pack. When we’re on the go, these are helpful to have. They don’t take up a lot of room, and I actually enjoy using them on my back or shoulders while I’m driving (because we all know toddlers really put a hurting on our bodies from lifting them!).

4.  Key Finder

Another amazing invention; I actually snap a key finder on the outside of my bag. This way, when I can’t find my keys (or when my son “accidentally” placed them somewhere) I press the button to locate them; we never get stuck in a bind. There are so many kinds to choose from-be sure to check them out online-technology is amazing!

5.  Stain Stick

Coffee spills? No problem. Booger drips? Got it covered. A breakfast explosion? Gross, but manageable-all with the help of a stain stick. I can’t tell you how many times I pull up to the sitter’s house before work, unload my son, and get back in the car with multiple stains on my shirt, just from coming in contact with him. A stain stick takes care of spots and other icky stuff, so I’m never late for work and always looking as fresh as a daisy.  Babyganics Stain Erasers can be found in Box No. 05 and the Back To Work Box - we agree that they are priceless!

Kids change things. But, I’m a pretty go-with-the-flow type of mom. Have you noticed your own purse getting cluttered with new but useful items? Consider tossing my five essential items in your own bag to make life a little bit easier!
